My class is informative; fun; and safe. "Read the reviews."
I begin my class with an informative power point presentation that covers:
(Firearms Identification) Card.
After the "awesome" power point presentation, we will then conduct hands on (Practical Application) training that includes:
Safe firearm handling procedures
Basic Marksmanship Techniques:
(Isosceles / Modify Isosceles)
At the range (5 minutes away), you will conduct live fire shooting from "user friendly" semi-auto firearms, using the skills instructed in class and under the watchful eye of Dwayne Fortes to ensure safe handling skills are applied.
Once you have completed your live fire, you will receive your target to hang on your door as a deterrent for the weirdos of society who have illegal intentions.
My Basic Firearm Safety course is a onetime course.
If you wish to seek additional training, I offer "private firearm lessons." Click on the "Classes" tab at the top of this page to review "Private Firearms Lessons."
I look forward to training with you.

Firearms Safety Class for first time applicants:
For those who prefer a Private Firearms Safety Class
I do not conduct firearms safety classes or private firearm classes mid-December through {early} March. New England weather is unpredictable during those months. BUT,....what is predictable are individuals with zero to minimal firearms experience shooting in adverse weather increases unsafe handling of firearms.

The origin of challenge coins goes back all the way to the Roman Empire, which rewarded soldiers for their achievements with special coins. “Portrait medals” during the Renaissance commonly were minted to commemorate specific events, typically involving royalty.
One of the most commonly held beliefs has modern-day challenge coins gaining popularity from a single unit during World War I.
The story goes that a wealthy lieutenant had given medallions to members of his unit. One young pilot placed his medallion in a leather pouch he wore around his neck. He was later shot down and made it back as far as the French lines, where the French originally thought him to be a saboteur. However, one of his captors recognized the squadron insignia on his medallion and it saved the pilot’s life.
It quickly became tradition that all members of the squadron carry their medallion at all times. The men would test each other to fulfill that edict by challenging to see the other’s medallion. If the challenged soldier could not produce his medallion, he was required to buy a drink for the challenger.
Outside of the military, challenge coins have become increasingly popular team-building pieces, collectors’ item, and/or memorabilia for an achievement at a specific event.
Dwayne Fortes {Viper Self-Defense Firearms Training} awards only those individuals who take his course with a one of kind “Viper Self-Defense Challenge Coin” by rising to his marksmanship challenge and applying precision marksmanship skills. You only get ONE TRY to hit a 4" x 6" steel plate from 50 yards away, shooting a semi-auto 9mm handgun.
Rachel (pictured above) is the 1st to have hit a steel target from 50 yards away. It is obtainable....you just have to apply precision marksmanship skills like Rachel has.
I look forward to putting a “Viper Coin” in the hands of those up to the challenge.
